Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
Purpose:

Students seeking admission into any Masters Program in US, and many other European countries as well are required to take GRE. The test is meant to measure the scholastic abilities of a candidate at the undergraduate level. The test's scores are one of several important components considered in the admissions process, and also influence decisions on financial awards (e.g. fellowships, assistantship etc) to students.

American College Test (ACT)

Purpose:

For seeking admission in various Colleges in the United States and Canada, by the students they are required to appear in the ACT Assessment test, which is a multiple-choice test. These tests are offered five times during the school year: October, December, February, April, and June. The purpose of this test is to find out strengths and weakness of the student for studies at College level.
